It has been ten years since the legendary knight Sturm Brightblade defeated the dark elf Mazohahecon at the cost of his life. Since that time, the art of magic has been lost to the world. Three mages are searching for the lost magic, and one young man is searching for his lost memory. Little do they know that the young man's memory is the key to discovering the lost magic. But there are strange enemies attempting to lure the man into forgetting his quest for his memory and the wizards from their quest of unlocking the magic. With allies at their side and enemies lurking around every corner, will the mages and the man find what they are looking for, or will they fail in their quests and bring about the end of the world as they know it?

Even so he inherited Mazohahecon’s thirst for the dark arts and pursued such studies, paying his way as an assassin, living in the world of humans. Keeping the shadows like his uncle.

Ala had just graduated from the magic guild where she had spent much of her time studying. Now with her companion mages she has vowed to find the magic that is her life, if it is lost than so is she. She lived for magic and for her occupation. She can’t imagine life without magic.

((All right, everyone! Well, I think we'll start since the gang's all here. If anyone wants to join along the way, they can. Let's begin! Remember, we're totally restarting, everyone.))

Steel was working in the field that he had known for the past few months. He had awoken in the woods with no memory of his past, and was being taken care of by a farmer and his wife. He wiped sweat off of his forehead and stood to relax his back and shoulders. He blinked as the sun suddenly glared off of something bright and shiny. He looked around to see an old man in the bright armor of a knight. The old man looked weary, and Steel hurried toward him. "Are you all right, sir? Would you like to sit down in the shade?" He asked. The old man peered at Steel. "I would, thank you," The man said. Steel led the man into the small farmhouse and went out into the yard to get fresh, cold water for the man. "Here, sir. You'll feel much better," He said. The man smiled and drank the water offered gratefully. The farmer's wife had seen the man approach and had come to see how Steel treated him. She smiled, then went back into the kitchen, being sure to set an extra plate for an extra person.

**Borders of Solamnia**

*Dasiel stands over the corpse of a forest elf that he'd been hired to eliminate. His eyes take in the blood and the unnatural angles of his target’s neck. He hadn't planned on his kill being so messy, but something was wrong with his human magic, almost like it was no longer there. There was nothing wrong with his Elvin magic or enchanted items, just the magic that came from his human side.*

**Palanthas - Capital of Solamnia**

*Ala makes her way through the crowded streets of the city she'd known all her life. Somehow the bustle didn't feel the same this day, most likely due to her own worries. Recently magic, all human magic had weakened and then disappeared all together. Ala hurries to a meeting of mages at the Mages guild to find out what was happening.*

**Another Country bordering Solamnia**

*Súrion walks a crowded, busy and bustling human market place. In her 10 years of travel since she'd first left the moon forest on her journey of discovery, she'd never ceased to be amazed by the human, their short lives, their energy, the speed of their living. She found it so fascinating.*

Icefire gathers some flowers and walks to the graveyard, she nods at some guards as she passes the castle, they seemed to be the only humans here that didn't look down at her. She shakes her head wondering what her friends are up to, she hasn't seen any of them in forever. She stops at a sight and places the flowers down and just sits down staring at the tombstone.

Steel gazed over at the old man. He noticed the breastplate of a high ranking Knight of Solamnia. He wondered who this man was and what he wanted, but he didn't want to be rude and say something. The old knight caught the young man's gaze and he smiled at him. The farmer's wife came out into the sitting room. "Dinner's ready. I do hope you'll be joining us, sir," She said. "Indeed, if it's not any trouble, I shall join you for dinner. You may calle me Silink," He said. The woman smiled. "Please, it's no trouble at all," She said, then led Silink into the kitchen.

**Another Country bordering Solamnia**

*Súrion is haggling for some materials for her bow, when she overhears an argument between what looks like a couple of mages. Her keen hearing brings the argument right to her and she is surprised and worried to learn that human magic has disappeared.*

Súrion: How could that happen? Surely... *The idea is horrifying, Súrion being an elf is used to being a part of magic and for it to be absent is to loose part of oneself.*

*Súrion finishes up her bargaining and immediately sets out for Solamnia, she would see an old friend there and find out if there was any truth to the rumor she'd just heard.*

Steel and Silink walked into the kitchen. He was greeted by the farmer's strange look, one that quickly turned to shock. "So, you be returnin' fer the boy, eh?" He said. Steel looked confused, and then became even more so when Silink nodded. "Yes, I've come to take him back to Solamnia with me," He said. Steel realized now that the armor was, indeed, one of a Knight of Solamnia. He looked at the farmer in confusion. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Jus' what I said, boy. Ye be goin' to Solamnia with this 'ere man," The farmer replied. "Right then. 'Ave some dinner, then ye'd best be goin'." Steel shook his head. "I'm not hungry, thanks," He said, then quickly left to gather the few belongings he had.

Leah stood in the shadows as she watched the mage's despair at losing their precious magic. Smiling, she began to chuckle lightly before walking down a side alley. She used her magic to spy on the human wretch. She saw him in the farm house, packing. She smiled again. She knew he'd be coming to Palanthas, and then her mistress would be avenged. "I will kill the boy, as you asked, my lady," She whispered to the shadows.

**Solamnia**

*Dasiel decides that one of his contacts can collect his commission for his last job. He now makes his way to the mages guild, in the capital of Solamnia. He wanted to find out what was wrong with his human side as he saw it.*

**Following the Forests path to Palanthas**

*Súrion moves swiftly towards the city where she started her journey not that long ago. She worries that the dark elves may have targeted the city once more, but the loss of human magic seems too subtle for them.*

**Palanthas - Mages Hall**

*Ala returns to the mage hall to find that it may take a couple of days for the meeting of mages to commence as they were allowing time for the mages to arrive seeing as magic was no longer an option. Feeling another stab of pain at the reminder of the loss to her profession. Ala goes to see if the leader of the mages - Mira was anywhere to be found.*

Crystal hums to herself riding around on her horse, she knew something was wrong but couldn't place her finger on it. "Something missing". She laughs when her guard sighs to himself, he really hated the fact that she would just start talking out loud to herself whenever she need to work through a problem

Icefire looks up sensing Surion and frowns, why would her old friend be coming here. She stands up dusting the dirt off her cloths and pushs the thought away, she has a class to teach and that all that she cares about.

**Palanthas - City Gates**

*At the city gates Dasiel learns of a mages meeting to be held in a few days, this doesn't surprise him, and he makes his way to the Mages Hall.*

**Following the Forests path to Palanthas**

*Súrion pauses on a forest trial, realizing that someone had felt her coming. With a start she realizes that the presence was that of Knight Icefire. She smiles realizing that Icefire's abilities had grown quite a bit since they'd last met 10 years ago. She continues along the forest path. A smile on her face.*

Crystal walks out her room singing to herself, she was going to this meeting no matter what her advisor's said. She promised her father she would care for his village after he passed away and that what she was going to do. She steps outside and climbs on to her horse riding off towards the village to find out what some of the others thought that were in the fight ten years ago.

Icefire sits on a boulder and stares at the men that are suppose to be knights, what they didn't know was what happened ten years ago. She wonders if these men can survive an attack from anoter dark elf.

*Súrion arrives at the city that she had not been to for 10 years and takes a moment to look at it and remember the events of the past.*

**Palanthas - Mage's Hall**

*Dasiel arrives at his guild hall and returns to his room which without the human cleaning spells is rather dusty. Dasiel calls on his non-human side of magic and summons a shadow spell to clean up the room and unpack while he rests after his journey. He would have to compose himself before having long sessions with the mages, he couldn't afford to be caught killing one because they had irritated him.*

Mira sits at the desk in her study at the Mages Guild, sifting and reading through the stacks of scrolls, books, and loose papers that are piled high on the desk. Her stress level has been throught the roof lately. Not only was she expected to sucessfully run the Mage's Guild, but she was also put in charge of finding out why the humans had lost their access to magic. Her, as Guild Master, was effected by this occurance a great deal. Her authority is threatened if she doesn't posess magical ability, so she wishes to remedy this situation as soon as possible.

Gabriel and his sister, Gabrielle, are sitting to either side of Mira, wordlessly, reading through the various material she hands them. All the while keeping a watchful eye, and alert ear for anything that might threaten Mira in any way.

After he finished packing, Steel slowly walked back to the kitchen, where the others were finishing up. "Well, ye'd best be on yer way, then," The farmer said. "I'm so sorry to see you go," His wife said, and she went to embrace Steel. "I'd come to think of you as my own son," Tears filled her eyes, but she held them back. Steel patted her gently, then turned to Silink. "I guess I'm ready to go, then," He said. Silink nodded, and they left the farm house to go to the city of Palanthas.

**Palanthas - Mages Hall**

*Ala learns that Mira is once again snowed under in her office, she makes her way to that section of the Mage's Hall but hesitates at the hallway entrance. What could she do but add more worry to Mira, besides, she Ala wasn't an elder of these magical halls. She looks at the office doorway down the hallway and shaking her head turns away.*

**Palanthas - Mage's Hall**

*Dasiel leaves his rooms and joins various clusters of agitated mages. He learns in a few hours that they had not a clue of what to do and that no one had taken any action. Fed up with the stink of fear on them, he leaves to the Hall to walk the streets of the city and to think on how he might turn these set of events to his advantage.*

*Súrion moves on from the city gates, shaking her head to clear them of the memories of the past. This was the present and she'd come here to find her old comrades to check the validity of the rumors she'd heard while in a neighboring kingdom.*

Steel looked up at the sky as it began to darken. He sighed softly. Silink turned to look at him and slowed. "Everything all right?" He asked. Steel nodded, still looking at the sky. His view was obscured suddenly, however, when a large silver dragon flew over their heads. Steel stopped and paled until he realized that it was a silver. He was intrigued by the prescence of the dragon, but he didn't say anything as they continued to walk.

*Súrion moves through the crowded human streets, making her way towards the temple of the knights and the knight’s hall. There she hoped to hear word of where to find on of her old comrades. She was looking forward to seeing them.*
