NovaCrusader of the Month for February 2008: chaugall

NovaCrusader of the month for February is one of our Role Play Defense Force (RPDF) members, chaugall. Chaugall joined the RPDF on WLM during the mid year of 2006 after passing the RPDF membership quiz with flying colours.

Now we will let chaugall share with us!!

When did you join NovaCrusader and how did you come across it?

chaugall: Chaugallness joined NovaCrusader Sep 16, 2007. See it says it there right in my profile *grins*. I heard about it, back on the We Love Manga forums when they shut up shop, because I love the crowd there. I followed them to our new shelter "THANKS NOVA CRUSADER" its nice having a new home la la.

1. Would you like to share a little about yourself?

chaugall: hmm well apart from being addicted to anime and manga, and forums about anime and manga. Chaugall lives and works in Australia, where she is employed as a nurse so that she has money to buy anime and manga. Did I mention I like anime and manga hehe?

Well moving on I was bought up in rural Australia on a Horse stud and a goat stud (the ones with mohair). And yes I love animals. We have the big white guardian dogs that look after the herds. Along with the cats, chooks, working dogs, horses and house dog that thinks his a guardian, typical ankle biter.

But now I work in a small city in New South Wales, and I'm actually a TOWNY!! Shock horror. I love bike riding and ride my bike to work. Love reading, PC games, Role Playing on forums such as this one. Martial arts are also a passion, however since I left university I haven't found a dojo in my current town, I'll look harder I swear hehe.

Well I'll leave it there, *my attempt at defiance*, why you ask? Well the pie queen ordered an essay...I decided to step out when that was mentioned hehe.

2. If you could be any anime/manga character, who would you be?

chaugall: Gosh who wouldn't I want to be....that’s a hard question, let me think about it for a lil while. It’s a hard one but I'd have to say Zed from the anime Kiba. To be able to adventure to another world, to have an awesome key spirit by my side. Fight the good fight, throw in some sword play and magic of the shard casters and I think I'd be having fun *grins*.


3. What is your favorite thing about anime?

chaugall: Favorite thing about anime, how about the drawing style and the colour. The fact that each series takes me on such a grand adventure, what a perfect escape from reality. That’s one of the reasons I like it so much, it can be for kids and a more serious at the same time for us older kids, I love its diversity.

4. If you got to take one anime/manga character to work/school, who would it be and why?

chaugall:Amoul Gaul, he could just blow away any one that was bothering me, while being fun at breaks *grins*. Especially helpful with managers on your case all day about beds hehe go amoul gaul distract them!!!!!!! *insert evil laugh here.* hehe.

5. So, what do you do when you're not watching anime or reading manga?

chaugall: Well I work of course, read sci-fi/fantasy novels, play pc games, watch movies, go horse and bike riding, annoy friends (hang with them hehe), go on forums, role play, martial arts etc ...

6. If you had to give away all of your anime but three, which three would you keep?

chaugall: You cruel evil people, that’s a nightmare *hugs anime tightly*, yeah what’s my age again...don't answer that. Hmm three titles, well definitely Rorouni Kenshin, Bleach and it’s a three way tie for the third I can't make up my mind (the war is between Kiba, Vision of Escaflowne and Fruits Basket, how do I choose??) I think Fruits Basket is winning...still horrible thought hehe.

7. If you could invite three anime/manga characters over for dinner, whom would you invite and what would you serve for dinner?

chaugall: Kenshin, Ichigo and Tohru, we'd have pizza hehe, take out all the way *chuckles* and better yet no dishes.

What anime is currently at the top of your "I can't wait to get my hands on this" list?

chaugall: Does that include the "I've got my mits on it I just need the time to watch list"? Obviously not mmm it would be The Third: The Girl With the Blue Eye. I keep looking for it on the shelves and come up empty; maybe it’s not released here yet...

What manga (if any) would you like to see licensed?

chaugall: Tokyo Paradise, big fan of this manga when I was in university, found scandalations and would love to see it on shop shelves.

What is your favorite type of video game?

chaugall: I'm going to twist that question to favourite type of computer game. Well the type is Role Play ones and I'm currently playing the Never Winter Nights games again now that I've the expansions. The first time I played it was as a druid but I couldn't get past the last battle. Now I'm trying again as a Wizard, wish me luck.

Who's your favourite J/Pop or J/Rock artists/bands?

chaugall: Love the band Enigma, not sure they fit under the headsings J/Pop or J/Rock though. Like RyanDan, Plain White T's, Rihanna, Nelly Furtado, Soulja Boy, Linkin Park, Kokia, Lisa Gerrard, Cranberries, The Corrs, Pink, Timberland etc I'lls stop there or I'll just keep listing hehe.

Have you ever been to an anime convention and, if so, what was the coolest cosplay costume you saw? If not, do you plan on attending any conventions soon?

chaugall: Sadly haven't been to a convention. Did go to a theatre, where they displayed the latest anime releases from the world when I was back in university, which was awesome, really drawn to some upcoming Korean anime, am yet to see it on the shelves though. No plans as yet to see a convention, but if I'm ever near one I'll definitely pay a visit.

What's your favourite part of NovaCrusader and why?

chaugall:haha that’s easy the RP Plaza, that’s where you'll find me hanging out. Go the creativity and imagination!! Have fun guys, I know I do.
